I love the contrast of pasta frolla with acid jam ("crostata" is the name for a pie made of pasta frolla and jam), the most typical in this area is "crostata d'amarene" (pasta frolla with sour cherries jam)

Ciao Rebecca!

my mom used to make this all the time, it was a fave of my brother's, now that she is gone, I am glad to see your recipe, since i never paid attention to how she made hers....& your dulce de leche substitution is right up my alley :)
